Ashley J. Hicks (aka Ash) is a STL native/NYC based actor, writer, and Disability Equity, Access & Inclusion consultant—supporting artists and arts organizations in building more accessible, more equitable spaces.

As a Black woman with oculocutaneous albinism—a rare genetic condition that affects the pigmentation of her skin, hair, and eyes—Ash lives with low vision, which informs how she moves through the world and how she approaches her work.

Her artistic roots run deep, beginning in the storefront theaters of Chicago and expanding through MFA training at the American Conservatory Theater.

Recent acting work includes: Tina in Happy Hours, Amber in Poker Face, and Orah in Atlas, and she participated in the 2022 Disney Television Discovers Talent Showcase.
